Social Innovation involves working together towards a sustainable society. It is a new paradigm, an emergent kind of business model that seeks benefit the society. This investment approach, intentionally seeks to create and measure both financial return and positive social and environmental impact. Initiatives of such nature are not limited to giving poor households access to electricity and clean water, but also include enhancing livelihoods of the disadvantaged by creating employment or increasing pay.

Investors consider a variety of complex variables when assessing potential opportunities to grow their money. Until recently, social impact was seldom a factor in the equation. Today, it is becoming prevalent to participate in initiatives that are both commercially viable and scalable enough to make a difference to the disadvantaged targeted market group. We consider, select and manage investments in the ICT and Energy sector to deliver not only the desired financial return, but inescapably, the social impact as well.
