Get involved!

I was raised up by my grandparents, Cynthia Balise Stuurman and Charles Manyonda Mujakachi who taught me that it is important to get involved and give back to the community. They instilled in me the tradition of giving and values of volunteerism. Our home was always open to anyone without, who needed a plate of food or a place to spend the night.

Some of my earliest memories include going to an open field with big pots filled with pap and relish to feed the street children. We would also distribute blankets, warm clothing and shoes.

It is against this backdrop, that The Nomhle Foundation is birthed to implement the following Programs that address issues related to Education, Women Empowerment, Health and Climate Change:

  • STEP Initiative (Science and Technology Education Program)

  • WIN Initiative (Woman Impact Network)

  • NAOC Initiative (Nontsikelelo-Ann Cancer Support Program)

  • Climate Change Support
